1. Clean up the Clutter
Clutter is a threat whether it is books that fall on the floor, garbage piled high by the bin, or clothes that need to be hung in the closet. Cleaning up clutter removes potential tripping hazards.
2. Install Non-Slip Mats in Bathrooms, Kitchens, and Garages
Installing non-slip mats on the kitchen and bathroom floor, garage, and within showers and tubs helps you maintain your footing even when water splashes on the floor.
3. Turn up the Lights
Installing higher wattage bulbs increases illumination around the home. Brighter lights eliminate dark spots inside and outside the home which significantly reduces the risk of a slip and fall accident.
4. Watch out for Medications
